Description

SteerMouse is a highly customizable mouse setup tool that supports USB and Bluetooth mice, allowing users to freely customize mouse buttons, scroll wheel, and cursor speed, but does not support Apple’s Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad, and may not support some special buttons. SteerMouse offers 24 functions per button and the ability to encode actions, allowing functions to be assigned to buttons in combination with modifier keys (e.g., command, shift, option, control), or multiple buttons, greatly expanding the mouse’s potential. It has tons of useful features built-in, such as keyboard shortcuts, tap (including double tap, tap lock, etc.), scroll (including vertical and horizontal scrolling), zoom, app switcher, Mission Control, system control, music control, open files and URLs, cursor snapping, and more. Users can configure mouse settings individually for each application to maximize mouse efficiency. SteerMouse also allows the sensitivity of the cursor to be adjusted based on system settings, and by adjusting the combination of sensitivity and tracking speed, the cursor movement can be achieved as if it were moved manually. Additionally, it provides a recommended settings button that displays the ranking of settings among users, helping users easily find the ideal cursor movement settings. SteerMouse also adjusts the acceleration and sensitivity of scrolling for smoother scrolling behavior and supports auto-scroll options. The cursor snapping function can automatically move the cursor to a specified destination, such as the default button, close button, etc., and has the option to return to the original position, ensuring that users do not lose the cursor position due to cursor movement.
